Venezuela announced that it will use all of its military resources, including ground, air, naval, and ballistic forces, in response to US actions. The announcement was made by the country’s Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López.
“Enemy forces have desecrated our land,” López stated, adding that the US military also attacked residential areas. He said that data on the injured and the dead are currently being collected.
At the same time, photos circulating online reportedly show the detention of Nicolás Maduro. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that Washington does not consider Maduro to be the president of Venezuela.
