According to Azerbaijan’s APA state news agency, in line with the peace agenda between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the export of petroleum products from Azerbaijan to Armenia via Georgia has begun. The agreement was reached during a meeting between the two countries’ deputy prime ministers, Mher Grigoryan and Shahin Mustafayev, held on November 28 in the city of Gabala.
According to the agency, 22 railcars of SOCAR’s AI-95 (Premium) gasoline will be shipped to Armenia by rail. Georgia has commented on the report.
Under a government directive, Georgian Railways will transport 2,600 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products to Armenia free of charge.
