On December 18, the Armenia’s National Assembly President Alen Simonyan received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Swiss Confederation to the Republic of Armenia Andrea Barbara Baumann.
Congratulating the Ambassador on assuming the position, Alen Simonyan expressed hope that the newly appointed Ambassador will have her contribution to the development and deepening of multi-sectoral relations between Armenia and Switzerland.
The interlocutors touched upon other topics of bilateral interest, also addressing issues of regional interest, Armenian Parliament Press office reports.
Alen Simonyan also drew the Ambassador’s attention to the problem of the captives, illegally held and considered missing persons in Azerbaijan.
