“We remain hopeful that the overall attitude of the American government towards Georgia will evolve. This is the optimism we can share at this time,” Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze told journalists.
According to him, Georgia is patiently awaiting the U.S.’s position, with the government optimistic that a more constructive and fair perspective will replace the harsh and unjust approach that persisted until 2024.
“We sincerely hope that, in general, the attitude of the American government towards Georgia will change. This is the broad optimism we can express. Of course, we are patiently awaiting their stance, and we hope that the absolutely rude and unfair attitude that characterised relations until 2024 will give way to new, more positive approaches. As for specific acts, they are not of primary importance. The key point for us is that we have made our position clear to the United States, and now we are awaiting their response. Our future actions will depend on what that response will be,” Irakli Kobakhidze stated.
