At the Global meeting of UN Member States and Resident Coordinator, Ambassador Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia emphasized that the RC system has a pivotal role in ensuring better coordination of the UN development system’s activities on the ground, strengthening accountability and transparency, and advancing the operational efficiency and needs-based programmatic work of the Country Teams, Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN reports.
He stressed that the current and emerging global challenges, that undermine socio-economic development in many parts of the world, highlight the imperative of consolidating and increasing the capacities of the RC system to be capable of responding to rapidly evolving realities on the ground.
