A meeting was held Monday at the Tourism Committee of Armenia between Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairperson of the Tourism Committee, and Muhammad Al-Sheikhly, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Iraq in Armenia.
During the meeting, the current state of the tourism sector, ongoing programs, and several key areas of cooperation were presented and discussed, including: the procedures and timelines for signing the draft Memorandum of Understanding in the fields of culture and tourism between the two countries, promoting the tourism potential of Armenia and Iraq and increasing awareness of marketing initiatives, establishing cooperation between tourism organizations of both countries, including online meetings between public and private sector organizations and presenting each country between the two sides, exploring further opportunities for collaboration in the tourism sector.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation and enhancing tourism exchanges between Armenia and Iraq.
