Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mnatsakan Safaryan recently received a delegation headed by Irene Fellin, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security.
At the meeting, the current agenda of and prospects for development of Armenia’s relations with NATO were discussed, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia reports.
In addition, views were exchanged on UN Security Council Resolution 1325 “Women, Peace, Security,” as well as the implementation of Armenia’s third action plan.
The deputy FM of Armenia emphasized the importance of addressing the needs of forcibly displaced women.
Also, both sides expressed readiness to continue joint efforts toward deepening Armenia-NATO cooperation.
