Today marks the International Women Human Rights Defenders Day. Human Rights Defender of the Republic of Armenia Anahit Manasyan sent a congratulatory message on this occasion.
"I extend my congratulations, underscoring that the consistent work, courage and endless dedication of women human rights defenders contribute to creating a fairer, united and inclusive society.
The efforts and active work of women human rights defenders are a source of continuous inspiration. This work must be carried out in a safe, supportive environment, and women human rights defenders must be free from any kind of targeting," she stated.
