Exports from Armenia decreased by 48.8% from January to August; however, the export of goods of Armenian origin grew by 6.8%, Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan has said.
“From January to August, exports of goods decreased by 48.8%, mainly due to a sharp decline in the re-export of gold, silver, and platinum. Meanwhile, exports of goods of Armenian origin grew by 6.8%,” Hovhannisyan told legislators at a parliamentary committee debate of the 2026 budget bill.
From January to August, Armenia’s imports of goods decreased by 34.9%. The minister attributed this mainly to a decline in re-exports.
