Moscow positively assesses the results of the meeting with Donald Trump in Alaska and will monitor them on the path to Russian-Ukrainian settlement, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the CIS summit in Dushanbe.
The Kremlin Spokesman also noted that the progress made during the Putin-Trump talks remains valid. According to Dmitry Peskov, Moscow is committed to a peaceful settlement of the conflict. At the same time, he reported that communication with Kyiv is frozen for now.
“We hope that Trump will maintain the political will to continue peaceful negotiations on the Ukraine issue,” Peskov added.
