The Azerbaijani Defense Minister stated that the initialing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Washington on August 8 is an important step towards the resolution of the conflict that has lasted for more than 30 years. According to Zakir Hasanov, this historic event has opened new opportunities for cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond.
