At the UNGA80 Third Committee, under agenda item 26 entitled “Advancement of Women,” the Delegation of Armenia emphasized that the Government has integrated gender perspectives across all national development agendas, Permanent Mission of Armenia to the UN reports.
These efforts have continued despite unprecedented challenges, including the 2023 refugee crisis. As the host of the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17) in 2026, Armenia seeks to amplify the voices of those most affected by biodiversity loss and environmental degradation, particularly women.
