Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has met with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe.
During the meeting, President Rahmon welcomed the Armenian PM’s visit and said that the meeting was a good chance to discuss the agenda of developing bilateral relations, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a readout.
Prime Minister Pashinyan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and added that the Armenian government attaches importance to the expansion and deepening of the multi-dimensional ties with Tajikistan.
Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Rahmon exchanged views around boosting trade-economic ties.
The leaders reviewed the opportunities created as a result of establishing peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan and strengthening the atmosphere of cooperation in the region, the implementation of the TRIPP project and the Crossroads of Peace project.
President Rahmon welcomed the initialling of the peace agreement following the Washington meeting and expressed his country’s support for the Armenia-Azerbaijan normalization process.
