On October 3, the RA NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan participated in the Armenia-Engineering Week 2025 event and gave welcome remarks.
First, Hakob Arshakyan congratulated the attendees on the occasion of that important fact that the biggest engineering event of the year is already taking place in the Engineering City.
“It is important to mention that this fertile soil, on which every seed grows and blooms, is conditioned by the people who are present here. In this context, I also want to welcome all our partners, companies, and representatives of the Diaspora who have visited Yerevan and tell them that, indeed, the seeds you have sown are in reliable hands. The environment, where you want to expand your activities, study, work, expand your knowledge, and engage in engineering can truly bear fruits,” the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament noted.
The NA Vice President touched upon the peace agenda adopted by our country and documented that today, we are walking the path of peace in the region, and the persistent and practical steps that will lead to the unblocking of the region's roads and to stable and long-term peace in the region are visible. “Peace has its challenges, times of war, conflicts have their challenges, but these challenges are overcome first of all thanks to people, talented people - engineers, scientists, students, the people who are here today,” Hakob Arshakyan underscored and at the end of his speech once again wished success to the work of Armenia-Engineering Week 2025.
In his welcome speech the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan expressed his gratitude to the NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan for circulating the concept of the Engineering City back in 2018, believing in the implementation of that idea, and uniting the partners of the Government around the programme.
The Head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vassilis Maragos, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Sinha, the President of the Engineering Association Council Aram Salatian, the Director of the Enterprise Incubator Foundation Bagrat Yengibaryan and other representatives of the sector also gave welcome remarks.
Afterwards, the NA Vice President Hakob Arshakyan and the RA Minister of High-Tech Industry Mkhitar Hayrapetyan toured in the High Technological building and got acquainted with the building conditions.
Let us note that the Armenia-Engineering Week 2025 is an annual event, which presents the recent achievements of engineering field in Armenia.
The Engineering City, including the High-Tech Accelerator building, panel discussions are held on the most important and fundamental issues in the field, keynote speeches by international and local experts, and thematic workshops on innovative and technological topics. The three-day programme for 2025 will in Yerevan and Vanadzor.
Representatives of the engineering community and specialists and technology professionals, high-tech students and researchers participate in the event.
