European Council President António Costa expressed the EU’s solidarity with Poland following a recent airspace violation by Russia.
“The events of last night are a stark reminder that the security of one is the security of all. We express our solidarity with Poland regarding the unacceptable violation of its airspace by Russia,” Costa stated.
The Council President also issued a warning: “Russia’s continued aggression against Ukraine and its reckless incursions into the airspace of EU member states pose a direct threat to the security of all Europeans and to critical infrastructure across the continent.”
He assured that Europe is increasing its investments in defense, emphasizing that Poland has every right to take the necessary measures to protect its sovereignty.
