António Costa, President of the European Council said he has contacts with Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders.
“I had very positive phone calls this week with President Aliyev and Prime Minister.
The historic initialing of the Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan marks a significant step forward toward a lasting peace — for both countries and the wider region.
The EU remains fully committed to supporting its implementation and to strengthening regional connectivity, helping communities overcome years of conflict and move toward lasting peace, stability, and prosperity”, Costa said in a post on X.
