“Look, the war will end. I can’t tell you when. But the war will end. Putin wants it to end,” Trump said.
He announced that today “either there will be an agreement or there will be no agreement.
“If not, then the assistance to Ukraine will be stopped,” he said.
According to Trump, by the end of the day he can definitely talk about the possibility of deploying American troops in Ukraine. The US President, answering the question of whether the presence of European forces in Ukraine is being discussed, stated that this could be announced after the meeting with EU leaders.
Trump stated that good progress was made during the meeting with Putin and hoped that progress would be made during the meeting with Zelensky.
"It's a great honor to see the President of Ukraine here. If everything goes well today, there will be a three-party meeting," Trump said.
