Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan has met with the outgoing UK Ambassador to Armenia John Gallagher.
Papoyan expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his work and highlighted his significant contribution in enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, the ministry said in a press release.
Minister Papoyan and Ambassador Gallagher discussed opportunities of bilateral partnership, the steps toward diversification of the economy and the recently adopted Armenian exports strategy.
They explored the UK investment potential with the purpose of making possible investments in Armenia’s free economic zones.
“Armenia is eager to continue further deepening the partnership with the UK toward joint industrial manufacturing, development of free economic zones and promoting innovation-based enterprises,” Papoyan said.
