According to information, the Security Service of Ukraine is preparing to make use of the current disagreements between Russia and Azerbaijan to incite hatred and enmity on national grounds. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated this at Wednesday’s press briefing.
"In particular, we are aware of the plans according to which they [i.e. the Security Service of Ukraine] are going to engage Russian refugees who are ready to carry out, under the Russian flag, for a fee, sabotage against Azerbaijani citizens, representations, and cultural facilities," added the Russian MFA spox.
"The idea is that if such provocations are successfully carried out, viral information about Russian aggression will spread in Azerbaijani, Turkish, and European media," Zakharova said.
