The fire that broke out in the villages of the Latakia region of Syria has reached Duzaghaj, the first village of Armenian-populated Kessab.
As reported by Zarmik Poghikian, a correspondent for 'Lurer' in Syria, men have been carrying out preparatory work for two days to prevent the fire from spreading.
There are no human or material losses at this time.
The fierce fire is spreading rapidly, which is facilitated by strong winds and difficult-to-reach terrain, despite the efforts of firefighters and civil defense forces from different regions of Syria.
So far, groups have arrived from neighboring countries and Qatar to provide assistance.
It is noted that more than 15 thousand hectares of forest have been reduced to ashes.
The fire is still spreading.
