Zareh Sinanyan participates in 14th Armenian World Medical Congress in Madrid

The High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Zareh Sinanyan, is on a working visit to Spain.

On July 3, the 14th Armenian Medical World Congress convened in Madrid, with the participation of the High Commissioner. Mr. Sinanyan delivered opening remarks and moderated the panel discussion titled “Medical Organizations on a Global Scale.”

“This prestigious platform, with over fifty years of history, serves as an exceptional opportunity for professional dialogue, knowledge exchange, and collaboration—uniting the healthcare potential of Armenia and the Diaspora. It is a great honor to stand alongside you in this important initiative, which has already brought together Armenian medical professionals from around the world in service of a shared mission: to care for our people and contribute to the sustainable development of the healthcare sector,” said Mr. Sinanyan.

The panel explored how Armenian medical organizations across the globe are aligning efforts to strengthen Armenia’s healthcare system. Discussions emphasized the importance of enhanced cooperation and the collective impact of these organizations—not only within Armenia but in the broader context of global healthcare advancement.

The second part of the session, titled “Responding to Challenges,” focused on how Armenian medical organizations are addressing current and emerging challenges in the healthcare field, both in Armenia and abroad.

The 14th Armenian Medical World Congress has brought together more than 600 healthcare professionals from across the globe. The three-day event includes participation from heads of public and private medical institutions, physicians, healthcare administrators, medical students, and professionals with an interest in healthcare investment opportunities.

The Congress aims to strengthen professional networks, support the implementation of innovative projects, promote investment opportunities, and foster the continued development of Armenia’s healthcare system. Over the course of the event, nearly 100 scientific presentations, innovative concepts, and strategic initiatives will be showcased.

This year, four innovative projects will also receive grant funding for implementation in Armenia.
