US President Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation on June 4 which suspends or limits entry and visa issuance to nationals of nineteen countries, effective June 9, 2025, at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
With extremely limited exceptions, nationals of the following countries are subject to a full suspension: Afghanistan, Burma, Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen. With limited exceptions, nationals of the following countries are subject to partial suspension: Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan, and Venezuela.
