“I confirm it,” said Speaker of the Armenia’s National Assembly Alen Simonyan in a briefing with journalists, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s upcoming visit to Turkey.
“The Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey is historic, as it will be the first time a leader of the Republic of Armenia pays a visit of such level. There has been an invitation from the President of Turkey for a bilateral meeting,” said Simonyan.
“The risks of war are currently minimal, and we must work to eliminate them completely. The Armenian government is taking active steps in that direction. I consider the Prime Minister’s planned visit to Turkey to be one such step,” the Speaker of Parliament added.
