The Israeli strike killed the country's chief of staff, IRGC Major General Mohammad Bagheri, according to Iranian Mehr and Isna agencies.
The Times of Israel also reported Bagheri's death, citing an Israeli Defense Forces Spokesman.
In addition, the strike killed IRGC commander Major General Hossein Salami and several other senior officers in the corps, as well as Iranian nuclear physicists: former head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Fereydoon Abbasi and president of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Mehdi Tehrani.
