Minister of Internal Affairs Arpine Sargsyan has met with Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia Ambassador Vassilis Maragos.
Minister Sargsyan highlighted the close and effective bilateral cooperation which is continually encompassing new areas, the ministry said in a readout.
Ambassador Maragos reiterated the EU support for ongoing reforms.
The ongoing work in the EU visa liberalization process, including the course of legislative reforms and introduction of biometric passports, was discussed during the meeting.
The agenda of Minister Sargsyan’s upcoming visit to Brussels was discussed.
The current cooperation programs in the law enforcement and rescue service sectors, as well as the provision of new EU support were also discussed.
