On May 20, Ambassador Balayan held a meeting with the newly elected President of the Belgian Senate, Vincent Blondel, Embassy of Armenia to Belgium reports.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the achievements in the multifaceted Armenia–Belgium relations and the prospects for their further deepening, as well as the partnership agenda with the European Union.
Ambassador Balayan presented the latest regional developments, elaborating on the importance of the Armenian Government’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative for establishing peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus and beyond.
In this context, Ambassador Balayan highly appreciated the unconditional and consistent support of the Belgian Government, Parliament, and political forces toward the establishment of lasting peace in the region.
The interlocutors touched upon cooperation within the framework of Francophonie, the possibility of joint cultural initiatives.
