On May 20, at 20:30 local time (GMT –16:30), the Seismological Network of the Seismic Protection Service of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded a 2.8-magnitude earthquake at geographic coordinates 41.08°N and 43.93°E, approximately 10 km southeast of the village of Bavra, in the Armenia-Georgia border zone at a depth of 10km.
The intensity of the earthquake in the epicentral area was 3–4 on the MSK scale. The tremor was felt in the villages of Bavra, Saragyugh, and Ashotsk in the Shirak region, with a magnitude of 2–3.
