The Member of the PACE Committee on Rules, Ethics and Immunities Sergiy Vlasenko is on a two-day visit to Armenia.
Within the framework of the visit, Sergiy Vlasenko was met by the RA NA Vice President, the Head of the NA Delegation to PACE Ruben Rubinyan, the Member of the delegation, the Chair of the NA Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs Vladimir Vardanyan, and the Committee members on May 19 in Parliament.
There were also meetings with the leaders and representatives of the RA NA Civil Contract, Armenia and With Honor factions.
The Armenian side highly appreciated the close relations and active cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. The importance of implementing the regulations set before the state in terms of ensuring the rights of the members of the PACE delegation was emphasized. In this context, issues related to ensuring the immunity and privileges of the PACE members, MPs were discussed. The need for unhindered participation of the PACE members in the structure’s sessions and organized events was underscored.
