The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) hopes for the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan without delay, said CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, TASS reports.
“There are certain positive developments in the Caucasus. This is the statement of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the completion of negotiations and the agreement on the text of the interstate document between the two countries,” Tasmagambetov said at a meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly PA. “We express hope for the signing of the document without delay, and expect that its implementation will pave a reliable path to peace and stability in the South Caucasus.”
The CSTO PA Council meeting is being held in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, which is chairing this organization in 2025.
