The Republic of Armenia is not discussing the issue of removing the Russian military base from the territory of Armenia. This was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan at a briefing with journalists.
“It is absurd, such a thing is not being discussed,” said Alen Simonyan, answering the question whether the clause on the presence of third forces could be presented by Azerbaijan at some stage as a demand to remove the Russian 102nd military base from the territory of Armenia.
