We express our sincere condolences to victims of Vancouver tragedy: Armenia's Foreign Ministry

The Armenian Foreign Ministry expressed condolences over the victims of the tragedy in Vancouver, Canada.

"We send heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and the local community as we hear the news about the tragic events at Vancouver’s Lapu Lapu Day festival. Wishing strength and speedy healing to all affected," Armenian Foreign Ministry's statement on X reads.

Eleven people were killed after a suspected car ramming attack in the Canadian city of Vancouver on Saturday, BBC reports.

The incident, which took place at the annual Lapu Lapu festival celebrating Filipino culture, also left dozens of people injured.

A 30-year-old male suspect has been identified as Kai-Ji Adam Lo. He is in custody and faces several murder charges.

Vancouver is in mourning. Several vigils have been held across the city this evening, one of which was attended by Canadian PM Mark Carney, as work to identify some victims continues.
