Ahead of his official visit to Azerbaijan, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian gave an interview to AZTV. The Iranian delegation will be represented at a high level.
Pezeshkian stressed: “We have always defended the rights of Azerbaijan, and we have supported Armenia exclusively within the framework of its legitimate rights.”
The Iranian President touched upon the issue of the so-called 'Zangezur Corridor' and noted that Iran is providing Azerbaijan with a road through its territory to Nakhijevan. “Work is already underway in this regard, and there is a corresponding agreement. Everyone must respect the territorial integrity of their country, and issues of border communication between states can be resolved only on the condition that the interests of all parties are taken into account.
Pezeshkian also emphasized: “Iran and Azerbaijan, as neighbors, can do a lot for each other. We are, in fact, relatives, two banks of the same river.”
