Armenian Foreign Ministry said delegations of diplomats visited Tsitsernakaberd Memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide, to commemorate the 110th anniversary.
“On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Republic of Armenia and diplomats also visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and paid tribute to the memory of the victims”, the Ministry said in a statement.
Today is April 24, 2025 - Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. This solemn day commemorates the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, which began on April 24, 1915, with the arrest and deportation of Armenian intellectuals from Istanbul by the Ottoman Empire . It marks the beginning of a tragic period during which approximately 1.5 million Armenians were systematically killed.
In Armenia and across the Armenian diaspora, people gather to honor the victims' memory. In Yerevan, hundreds of thousands walk to the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to lay flowers at the eternal flame.
