On April 24, 2025, a commemoration ceremony for the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held near the Armenian cross-stone (khachkar) installed in the courtyard of the Almudena Cathedral in Madrid. This was reported by the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to Spain.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Spain Sos Avetisyan delivered a speech during the ceremony.
