We greatly appreciate your efforts for peace, the peace agenda, the European agenda. I am very happy that today in this region Armenia and Azerbaijan are in such a situation, have taken an important step forward to normalize bilateral relations. This was stated by Slovenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon during a joint press conference with Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
“This will not only lead to positive developments for the region as a whole, but this is also a very unique opportunity for both sides to have a peace treaty, for both sides to sign the peace treaty.
I appreciate the great work that Armenia is doing in these peace initiatives, because peace is beneficial for every side in the region. We encourage and welcome the steps to finalize the draft text and approve the signing of the peace treaty.
As you said, let us hope that the signing will take place soon, and let us hope that the tension will thus decrease in this region,” Fajon said, addressing Mirzoyan.
