Russia hopes that all the benefits of Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the scale of losses from breaking away from this union will be explained to the Armenian society, Russian deputy foreign minister Mikhail Galuzin told RIA Novosti.
"Official Yerevan must decide where it is better to be. We hope that all the benefits of membership in the EAEU and the scale of losses from breaking away from the EAEU will be explained to the Armenian society so that the Armenian society has an objective idea of reality," the Russian official noted.
According to him, it is impossible to be in two opposing unions at the same time.
Galuzin emphasized that the EAEU is a union of equal states, while the European Union (EU) is a structure where "pointer stick discipline rules, which is subject to anti-Russian narratives disconnected from reality by Brussels bureaucrats."
According to Mikhail Galuzin, Russia and Armenia discuss all current matters in a sincere atmosphere.
"We [i.e. Russia] are allies and strategic partners with Armenia, therefore we discuss all current matters on our agenda in an atmosphere of openness and trust," said the Russian deputy FM.
