During Monday’s parliamentary briefings, Armenian National Assembly (NA) speaker Alen Simonyan commented on US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz’s statement that he spoke with Azerbaijani president’s national security advisor Hikmet Hajiyev, and that he had said that now it is necessary to complete the Armenian-Armenian peace agreement and release the Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan.
“Let's hope that this statement will be followed by clear steps, and it will not be just a statement for the sake of a statement,” said the Armenian NA speaker.
And when asked what Simonyan meant by “clear steps,” the Armenian NA parliament speaker replied: “I don’t know. Let them call, agree on how they will give back our captives, our people l indiscriminately, regardless of when they were captured.”
