If Azerbaijan is so worried about the EU civilian observers, it is the one who keeps these observers on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, because from the moment it signs the already agreed peace treaty, our agreement will come into force. NA Speaker Alen Simonyan said this during a briefing with journalists, referring to the Azerbaijani side's concerns regarding the activities of the EU observer mission in Armenia.
"Secondly, if after signing the peace treaty, there should be another attack on Armenia, that attack will also take place in the presence of European observers. What's the difference?
If you sign a document, conditionally go in the presence of EU leaders or in the presence of presidents of some countries, with witnesses (by the way, there is such a status in diplomacy that the leaders or leaders of some countries are witnesses), go, sign and attack Armenia, if you are able to do it and can afford it, they will also shoot at and attack European observers," he said.
Let us remind you that the draft peace treaty does not contain a single word, not a single sentence about European observers.
"The peace treaty contains a provision on the deployment of forces from third countries. This means that after the peace agreement enters into force, neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan should deploy forces from third countries, with all the consequences arising from this," the Prime Minister noted.
