Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that Moscow welcomes Donald Trump's statements about the desire to establish peace in Ukraine. "The termination of American military assistance to Ukraine may force Kiev to return to the Russian-Ukrainian peace settlement, since Ukraine receives the largest share of weapons and intelligence from the United States," Peskov said.
Responding to Alexander Lukashenko's proposal that Russian-Ukrainian talks with the participation of the presidents of Russia, the United States and Ukraine could be held in Minsk, the Russian presidential spokesman noted that such an issue is not on the agenda, but it would be the best option for Moscow.
"Belarus is our main ally, therefore Minsk is the best place to hold the talks," Kremlin spokesman Peskov said.
He also added that Moscow is ready to cooperate with American companies in the field of rare earth metals extraction, but this is possible only if US sanctions are lifted.
"We are interested in cooperation. There are huge opportunities for this in various sectors, in different regions, in the vast territories of Russia, including in new regions," Peskov said.
