Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajian, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations, met with the Mayor of Geneva, Christina Kitsos, and State Councillor of the Canton of Geneva Nathalie Fontaine.
The interlocutors discussed ways to deepen cooperation and strengthen ties between Armenia and Geneva. Both sides emphasized the readiness to promote Armenia-Geneva diplomatic, cultural and economic cooperation.
The Ambassador thanked the Canton of Geneva and the city of Geneva for various initiatives expressing solidarity with the Armenian people, the humanitarian assistance provided to the refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as for keeping the issues of protecting the rights and releasing Armenian prisoners of war and civilians illegally held in Azerbaijan in the spotlight.
At the end of the meeting Ambassador Tolmajian made a note in the book of honored guests of Geneva.
