The Russian Foreign Ministry reported that the second round of negotiations between Russia and the United States began on Thursday in Istanbul.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced on Wednesday that discussions aimed at resolving issues related to the two countries' embassies would resume in Turkey. The parties are meeting at the residence of the U.S. Consul General.
Lavrov stated before the meeting that its results will show how quickly and effectively the parties will be able to resolve problematic issues.
