The meeting of the Russian and Turkish foreign ministers took place within the framework of the G20 foreign ministers’ meeting in Johannesburg.
Sergey Lavrov and Hakan Fidan touched upon key issues of the bilateral agenda, including the prospects for cooperation in the trade and economic sphere.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, they exchanged views on international and regional issues. Particular attention was paid to the coordination of efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation in Syria.
Lavrov informed his Turkish counterpart about the results of the Russian-American contacts held in Riyadh.
