Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Moscow has been pressuring Kyiv with ultimatums since the beginning of the war and that Ukraine has not budged and is not planning to do so now.
Speaking in Ankara where Zelenskyy is meeting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, he said Ukraine seeks security guarantees from the United States, European countries and Turkey.
Zelenskyy added that these issues would be discussed during his meeting with Erdoğan.
The Ukrainian president emphasized that Ukraine will never compromise on its territorial integrity or sovereignty.
“And I have the impression that there are some negotiations going on now, and they are taking place with the same attitude. But they are taking place between representatives of Russia and representatives of the United States. About Ukraine, again about Ukraine, but without Ukraine. As President of Ukraine, I did not guarantee anything to anyone and did not confirm anything to anyone. Moreover, I was not going to give in to Russia's ultimatums and I am not going to do so (now).
As for your question about possible diplomatic adjustments today, who do we see at the negotiating table? We see those who are able to provide security guarantees for Ukraine. We have seen the United States of America, the European Union, plus other European countries that are not in the European Union. And this also applies to Turkey. We do not mind if Turkey is ready to give Ukraine security guarantees,” Zelenskyy said
