Today, an emergency registered in the Gegharkunik province. An explosion occurred in the Surb Astvatsatsin Church in the city of Martuni.
Narek Sargsyan, Press Secretary of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, told 1lurer.am that a fire brigade from the Martuni Fire and Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service left for the scene and found out that there had been an explosion in a building adjacent to the church, damaging a door and window. Before the firefighters arrived at the scene, one person was hospitalized. The firefighters cordoned off the area and cut off the power to the building.
