From February 14 to 15, H.E. Vahagn Afyan, the Ambassador of Armenia to India, participated in the 4th Annual Geopolitical Dialogue (MPAGD 2025) in Jaipur, India organized by the "Usanas" Foundation. Kirti Vardhan Singh, the Minister of State for External Affairs of India was the keynote speaker at the event.
In his speech during the opening session on the second day of the conference, Ambassador Afyan highlighted that the Government of Armenia has developed the "Crossroads of Peace" project aimed at achieving lasting peace in the South Caucasus region. He emphasized that as a crucial part of the peace agenda, the initiative plays a key role in the restoration and development of regional communication routes. Through this project, Armenia reaffirms its commitment to regional peace and stability and its readiness to move to the stage of practical discussions.
Referring to Armenia-India friendly relations, the commentary of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was presented within the context of Armenia's balanced and balancing foreign policy, stating that Armenia's relations with India have gained new weight and meaning.
The Ambassador also noted that Armenia and India, sharing deep historical ties, common values, and mutual commitment to cooperation in various fields, are strengthening their collaboration in trade, defense, educational-cultural exchanges, and other initiatives amid the rapidly evolving global challenges and opportunities.
The conference panel discussions were attended by Gor Tsarukyan, Director of the Public Relations and Information Center of the Prime Minister's Office of Armenia, as well as experts from the "Orbeli" Analytical Research Center and the Applied Policy Research Institute (APRI Armenia).
