The regulatory and legal framework and tariff systems on the basis of which cooperation within the EAEU and the EU is built are mutually exclusive.
This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova during a briefing, referring to the adoption of the draft law “On the launch of the process of Armenia’s accession to the EU” by Armenia's Parliament in the first reading.
According to her, the task and responsibility of the Armenian authorities is to inform the public about this, as well as to present all the consequences of this step and “be honest.”
According to Zakharova, in addition to revealing the nuances of the process, the Armenian authorities should also talk about the experience of other countries in the process of joining the European Union.
