Head of the Eurasian Department of the Iranian Foreign Ministry Mojtaba Demirchilu met with Azerbaijani Ambassador Ali Alizadeh at the Foreign Ministry. The course of bilateral cooperation and the development of relations in various fields were discussed.
Demirchilu, pointing out the negative actions of certain circles and individuals in Azerbaijan, including the inappropriate behavior towards Iranian students, considered them harmful to bilateral relations and expressed Iran’s protest in this regard and called for steps to be taken against the initiators and perpetrators of these negative actions.
The Azerbaijani Ambassador expressed regret for some inappropriate statements and actions and promised to convey the matter to the authorities of his country.
