Member of Armenia's Olympic wrestling team, free-style wrestler Vazgen Tevanyan, celebrated his first victory at Paris 2024. Competing in the 65 kg weight category, Tevanyan faced Georgian wrestler Goderdzi Dzebisashvili in the 1/8 finals.
Tevanyan secured a dominant win with a score of 11:0.
Armenia has won 2 silver and 1 bronze medal at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games. Gymnast Artur Davtyan and wrestler Artur Aleksanyan have become Olympic silver medalists, while Greco-Roman wrestler Malkhas Amoyan has won a bronze medal.
