Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev stated that Baku does not intend to take force actions to create a land corridor through the territory of Armenia to Nakhijevan.
"We are trying to achieve this in a peaceful way. Both countries and the entire region will benefit from the opening of transport links with Nakhijevan passing through Armenia," Hajiyev noted. According to him, Azerbaijan has no military goals in the sovereign territory of Armenia, it is outside the agenda of Azerbaijan.
Aliyev's aide also expressed displeasure with the accusations against Azerbaijan regarding ethnic cleansing. "There have been no such cases in the history of Azerbaijan," said Hajiyev.
