Turkish National Security Council on Wednesday called for preventing the acts that target Islam. The council also discussed in detail the course of the Russia-Ukraine war and its possible effects on the region. Situation in Syria and Iraq also was under the focus.
Turkish media report that during the session, Erdogan awarded Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan with the "Highest Medal for Services to the State". Fidan thanked Erdogan saying: "I accept this medal also on behalf of my friends who were martyred while implementing your orders with me in Libya, Karabakh, Syria and Iraq."
